Earlier this year we rented space along with many talented craft designers and creators at the the
Handmade Creations Marketplace located in a local Mesa AZ outlet mall. Their situation changed and the store moved to the vibrant Superstition Springs Mall just a short distance away. The grand opening was Saturday September 22. The setting is ideal as it is neighbors to popular stores as Hallmark and Dillards. This is almost like a non-stop craft show but better as everyone remains setup and can "organize" their displays. We are all very excited about this. Customers will enjoy extended visits and purchases here!
Have a wonderful Autumn!

This is the start of our new product line: "The Guys - Gingerbread Guys" and "Paper Dolls II". They will give you endless ideas to enhance your holiday decorating.
Paper Dolls II will cut out outfits to dress the Girls and Guys and include buttons to embellish them with.
100% Steel dies cut cardstock for holiday cards, felt for holiday ornaments, fabric and even leather so your new found friends will be well dressed.
We have been having a lot of fun with our new product line and we hope you do to. We've been using them to help us with our Community Service Therapy Guys and Girls (link) to produce more in a small period of time and with accurate cutting.
Recipes (Project Ideas link) are available on how to make some of our projects and would love for you to share some of your ideas, too.
Email us. Maybe we can feature it in a future blog giving you full credit!

Farm Fresh Fridge Magnets We survived another winter and are now looking forward to Spring. Meet our new members Fresh off the Farm whom we call Hoofs and Paws. They aren't stuck up but will stick around on any metal surface. They are the same size as our G Guys and sport their outfits in style. Check out what we have for the Tooth Fairy! Any one of these animals can have a backpack secured on his or her back which will hold one's tooth, and when the Tooth Fairy comes for it, she has a spot to leave her coin. All secured inside with flap held down with magnets. When Tooth Fairy is not needed, he or she will then stick to any metal surface. All of our Guys and Girls are hand cut and stitched in a smoke free environment. Also check out "Garden Party". One of our favorites, GG Top, loves to bring down the house as he Rocks the Party in. Or Lil' Wall Flower may be shy, but she ain't no Violet and is always ready with her smile. We also take customize orders such as Lady who was made for a friend who loves Ladybugs. Right now we are designing some Girls for a consultant who sells JBloom Jewelry to give to her downline with a special charm attached. All in all it has been a very busy retirement. It's amazing I had time to go to work back in the day, but this has been a lot of fun. I have other things on the burner which I hope to announce in future blogs, such as we are designing our own set of dies to be sold for quilting and card making. But in the meantime, may the stitch go on - - - - - - -

CRAFT FAIR: We had a wonderful time yesterday at the Craft Fair. The Guys were excited to find new homes, I was sad to see them go. My "partner in gingerbread guys executive pardons", hubby, likes to people watch. He watched how everybody just meandered to each table but noticed how the Guys put a huge smile on their faces when they came to ours. We will be working on putting magnets into them so they can just "hang out" in the kitchen with you, or stands so they can sit by your computer. They do make us feel good with their smiling faces and positive attitudes. COLLECTIBLES: They have become "Collectibles". We will only offer 10 to be sold and then they will retire to a life of leisure on my display board. That means we have to keep adding to the collection.
Soon to be released for 2017 will be Buzzed, Lil Wall Flower and GG Top just as starters.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Unbelievable that it is November already. We are just a few days from the most important election I can remember in my lifetime. I knew the importance of some elections in the past, but never has an election been so crucial for the survival of our Great country!
In the meantime we look forward to the many ideas we have brewing in the workshop. Me and “The Guys” had their debut on Sunday doing our first craft show. Everyone fell in love with them. I had many inquiries about personalizing them with either a name or date. So we are researching that idea and hope to make it a reality soon. I found a local girl who does beautiful work and we are negotiating it right now. Watch the website for more details.
We are also talking with a die maker so we can bring quality DIY kits into the store. You will be able to make these cute little Guys yourself and we will provide all of the materials pre-cut for you. All YOU need is to be able to handle a sewing needle and then you can proudly say, “Look what I made just for you!” But if you don't sew, don't worry! They will still be available already assembled to purchase.
If there is a Guy you'd like to see, eMail me .... and we will see if we can make him a reality. Over and out!

Welcome! This is our first post about the Gingerbread Club. These ornaments are cute, plush, different and celebrate all holidays and everyday life. Traditionally hang them on your Christmas tree, but you can also use them for gift tags, name tags for assigned seating, from your rear view mirror or on your computer at work to get you through your day. They will frequently cause a smile when you are hanging around them, or better said, when they hang around YOU!
I am newly retired so these guys keep me out of trouble. We have fun creating them and our ideas just keep coming. Soon to arrive are DIY kits. But don't fret if you can't sew. You can purchase them already assembled in my Etsy store at North2South Crafts linked from here.
Join the Gingerbread Club and come hang out. They'll like you and be your plush felt friends... it will be fun collecting all of the Club Members. Watch for our monthly contest where I will draw a name from our "Likes" on Facebook for the Feature of the Month. Enjoy!
We are located in San Tan Valley, Arizona USA.
North2South Crafts enjoys providing craft ideas. Many may be in kit and/or completed form for your enjoyment. This is a new site ready for growth which could provide needlepoint items to unique miniatures.
- IF YOUR CUTTING DIES SEEM TO BE LOSING SPARPNESS, you can cut aluminum foil to resharpen them.
- IF YOUR DIES DON'T SEEM TO WANT TO RELEASE THE CARDSTOCK OR PAPER like when they were new, "poke holes" are provided in each die. By cutting wax paper, it will give the dies a harmless coating that will allow cardstock to slip right out.
- IF THE DIE DOESN'T SEEM TO WANT TO COMPLETELY CUT, added pressure may be required which is normal to do with these machines. Shim made from cardstock or chipboard such as a cereal box works well to add the needed pressure to insure a cut.
Cut the cardstock or chipboard the size of your plate. Sandwich it between the bottom plate and cutting plate. Then work off of the cutting surface without removing the shim. Remember never to force the plates through. If it is hard to crank then back up and start again. Forcing a die through can cause damage, even when protected by the plate.
- IF YOU LIKE TO USE UP THOSE LITTLE PIECES OF SCRAP like I do but your die slips off the edge, did you know that you can tape down the die on it's edge to the plate and it will hold it exactly where you want it to cut.
- WHEN CUTTING TINY PIECES OF CARDSTOCK, place cut pieces onto a piece of foam mat. Then use tweezers to pick up pieces. The foam mat has give so the tweezers will easily slide under the cut piece so you can pick it up. Tweezers make it easier to handle those tiny pieces, too, when trying to glue it down.
